The 2026 Chef of the Year, Vitus Winkler—honored with two Michelin stars, four Gault Millau toques, and four A la Carte stars—will open the Falstaff Culinary Ski Days on 5 March 2026, together with the team of the AreitLounge/AreitAlm. For this special evening, he is accompanied by the renowned wineries Gesellmann and Hirtzberger, whose carefully selected wine pairings create perfect harmony between kitchen and cellar.


For the exclusive “Ski & Dine” event, Vitus Winkler has crafted an extraordinary menu that follows the contour lines of the Schmittenhöhe: this culinary journey begins at Lake Zell and ascends step by step to the summit. With its impressive panoramic view of the surrounding Alpine landscape, the AreitAlm sets the stage for a truly unique dining experience—an evening that beautifully unites mountain scenery, top-level cuisine, and exceptional wines.
